What We Do

The Sonic Space: Supporting Young Creativity

The Sonic Space is proud to champion young people’s creativity and culture through live music and the arts.

Our Foot in the Door nights at Graylingwell Chapel give performers under 25 the chance to play live to free-to-access audiences of young people, helping to build confidence, portfolios, and a strong sense of community around supporting local music.

We've also delivered music workshops at The Chichester Shed, supporting young people living with anxiety or neurodiversity. Through writing, performing, listening to, or discussing music, participants can express themselves, develop communication skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Next, The Sonic Space is building a live-streamed platform showcasing Chichester’s music, art, and culture — designed, created, and run by young people living with neurodiversity. This exciting project aims to tackle discrimination and celebrate the talents of young people often overlooked by traditional systems.
